Essay about Feeding formula to babies versus Breastfeeding

There are many misconceptions today about feeding formula to babies and it being equal to breastfeeding. Breast milk is complex and species-specific; it targets growth and development of infants and provides disease protection. Both breast milk and formulas contain similar nutrients, but formulas are not an exact copy of breast milk. Formula may maintain growth and development, but it doesn’t contain hormones, live cells, immunologic agents, or enzymes, all of which are contained in breast milk. Breast milk contains four-hundred nutrients that cannot be recreated in a laboratory. Formula compositions don’t change to meet the infant’s changing needs. Although many formulas are similar to breast milk, they have drastic differences in†¦show more content†¦It also ensures that the mother takes frequent breaks in her day, especially at first. Most importantly, it helps create a bond between mother and baby. The distance between the baby and mother, when the baby is feeding, is the perfect distance for the newborn’s eyes to focus. There is a skin-to-skin and eye-to-eye contact, and the oppurtunity to cuddle and bond. In December 1997 the American Academy of Pediatrics issued its most aggressive statement to due urging mothers to breastfeed for at least a year and beyond â€Å"for as long as mutually desired.† Mother’s milk alone provides all the nutrients necessary for a baby’s physical and mental development for at least at least six months, with the added benefit of natural immunity against numerous diseases. Abstract The issue confronting all communities during a large scale disaster is the extreme labor intensive need of responding and recovering. The predicament of most communities is the incapability to employ the large scale of personnel needed to competently manage a large scale disaster. One conceivable solution is to increase the workforce population during times of perilous need is for emergency managers to assimilate community volunteers into their existing disaster management plans. Introduction: Emergency Management organizations cannot adequately provide the colossal workforce necessary to safely and resourcefully manage the response and recovery operations of large scale disasters without the assistance of volunteers. The alacrity of civilians to help in times of need has traditionally resulted in a large number of citizen volunteers to concurrently congregate onto disaster scenes to assist the center of operations. The concern attributed to this type of assistance is the disorderly arrival of a large number of volunteers immediately following a large scale disaster can have negative consequences, such as preventing entry and egress to and from the disaster area by blocking streets with their personal owned vehicles, becoming injured themselves and disturbing evidence in a potential crime scene. Other complications with volunteer management at disasters scenes include liability, security level clearance and the need to verify the skill level or vocational trade specialty o f each volunteer in order to effectively match the volunteer’s sill level with an appropriate job assignment. Physical Education Statement of purpose- Scholarship Essay I am EX.; I was raised in Ballpark in the family of five. As a child I have always been very active. I loved games and activities that require physical efforts because of which I always somehow ended up in school sports from a very young age. I have participated and won many competitions of various games such as volleyball, hand ball, table tennis, running and swimming etc. Throughout my high school, I always had a profound Interest In physical education. That TLD stop there I continued to be the sports girl of my college. I have also been the member of girls gulled during my education. It was after my bachelors of Arts when I realized that I want to peruse my love for physical education as a carrier. So I decided to opt for a diploma in physical education from the university of Punjab which enabled me to better understand the subject. My class project was on the history and fundamentals of volleyball where I discussed the origins of the game, its techniques, rules and skills etc. In 2013, I completed my Ms in Physical Education from The Islamic university of Ballpark, Pakistan with GAP of 3. 07/4. 00. My studies in the Department of Physical Education at The Islam University of Ballpark, Pakistan have exposed me to a stimulating academic environment where learning and research go hand-Len- hand. Through many opportunities I have had there. I found a deep Interest In research work and a strong aptitude for the type of problem solving and problem discovery that it involves. Working on a number of group projects during the course of study I have come to appreciate the importance of teamwork while also realizing y leadership qualities. Case studies and field presentations have boosted up my confidence and enhanced my comprehensive and analytic skills. Participating in group discussions and Interacting and sharing with students their experiences helped me build up a healthy learning environment. Subjects Like sports management, bohemianism, sports training and athletics revealed me limitless horizons in the field of physical education. My major masters project was on the Role of height in Volleyball project was based n 12 subjects (high school student- girls) team A with average height and team B with above average height, six matches were conducted, the alma of the project was to study that does height play a role in the better performance of the player and to what extent. Data was collected and analyzed. During the project I learned that tall players dominated in the play at the net, smaller and more agile players were essential in covering open areas of the court. I learned that Volleyball training must oriented to the objects of the game. It is a game that is primarily anaerobic in the manner In which athletic movement Is required and energy produced In support. Furthermore exercises Tanat salsas In ten development AT explosive leaping tidally, quick lateral movement and hand-eye coordination are of primary importance to the volleyball player and can help improving the performance of the player despite height. Currently I am working as teacher of physical education in a Government based institute in Bulwark, my duties include organizing games and challenges that remote physical activity among students. I have enjoyed working with students very much and my Job experience made me see the difference between theory and practical which enabled me to understand the subject with a broader prospective. I have been accepted by Victoria University for masters program in Physical Education under the supervision of Poor. BBC .
